Our
Mission Statement
Springing from a vital relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, our mission is to glorify God by serving His purpose to see the church restored, and the good news preached about Jesus Christ to young and old, rich and poor, and every ethnic group, extending the Kingdom of God by building people, families and leaders – first in our city, and then to the ends of the earth.
Our
Vision Statement
As the Old Testament unfolds the historic
account of the people of God returning from captivity
to participate in the restoration of their once exalted
city, so today God is calling his people everywhere
to give themselves to the restoration of his church
(the city of God) in order to reach the nations and
experience the return of his Son. Today God is not merely
interested in the renewal of some aspects of familiar
church life but rather the complete recovery of dynamic
New Testament Christianity –its power, purity and pattern
of living. While many people think the church will grow
weaker and weaker in the battle against the demonic
forces of this world and are content with division and
compromise in the body of Christ, God is clearly raising
up an end-time church of power, authority, unity and
holiness.
Since New Testament
times, much of what was present in the early church
has been lost through neglect, distortion or disobedience.
We need to realize that the Spirit of God has been at
work throughout history not only to restore God’s original
intention for the church, but also to complete the work
in order to present a pure and spotless bride to His
Son.
Our Expanded Vision Statement
Our Relationship with God
- To know God and to glorify and enjoy Him forever.
- To see true worship restored in all its fullness as expressed by the individual and by the gathered church.
- To rely in all we do upon the direction and the empowering of the Holy Spirit.
- To help each person allotted to our care grow secure in the grace and love of God, in order to live a victorious life of faith in Christ Jesus.
- To help each person grow in personal holiness.
- To ensure that prayer and the study of God’s Word
permeates the life of each believer and the life of
the church.
Our Aims for the Church and the World
- To see the Ephesians 4:11 gift ministries (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers) “equipping the saints for the work of ministry” so each person can function in his or her role, calling and spiritual gifts.
- To experience consistently the activity of God expressed through the supernatural gifts of the Spirit.
- To reach the lost through personal evangelism and church planting with signs and wonders following.
- To provide new converts with care and foundational
teaching that they might be baptized in water, baptized
in the Spirit, added to the local church and become
functioning, productive members of the Body of Christ.
- To value and develop God-given leadership that exemplifies Christian virtue (integrity, loyalty, humility and charity) and not merely “charismatic” speaking ability divorced from character.
- To help each person learn God’s principles for becoming faithful stewards of God’s resources in this life and so to enjoy financial freedom, biblical prosperity and abundance to extend the kingdom of God in the earth.
- To demonstrate our love for the Lord Jesus Christ through ministry to those in need by providing spiritual and practical assistance where possible to the poor, sick, widows, orphans and unwed mothers.
- To be a prophetic people corporately discerning, demonstrating and declaring the Word of the Lord to our generation.
Our Relationship with Each Other
- To reach out and touch our community through practical acts of kindness, believing that small things done with great love will change the world!
- To relate to each other on the basis of commitment rather than convenience while building interpersonal relationships with one another that go beyond merely attending meetings.
- To demonstrate through covenant relationships the character and love of God by serving, honoring, encouraging, admonishing and caring for one another.
- To walk in our covenant relationship with Jesus Christ and one another, remaining loyal and handling conflicts and misunderstandings according to the Word of God.
- To build strong marriages and families experiencing “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”
