Know What Belongs To You

“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”  (Hosea 4:6,Amplified)

We have an enemy that wants nothing more than to make our lives miserable. Unfortunately, he has been quite successful accomplishing this in countless millions of lives. And in order for him to accomplish this, there are two tactics that he employs with great stratagem: Fear and Ignorance. The one I want to focus on today is ignorance. .

The only way he can defeat a Christian is to keep them in the dark about what belongs to them in Christ. If he’s successful, he can wreak havoc in our lives. However, we have a very distinct advantage over him, the Word of God. Yet, if we don’t take the time to study and find out what is really ours, it won’t do us any good and we will not be able to resist the devil as it so plainly tells us to do in James 4:7, “So be subject to God. Resist the devil (stand firm against him), and he will flee from you” (Amplified).

Again, the key to being able to stand firm, we must know what we’re standing for. If it’s sickness we’re battling, then we need to know that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed. If it’s lack, Philippians 4:19 tells us “Our God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Amplified).

Once we find out what belongs to us from the Bible, we’ll be better prepared to stand against whatever the enemy may try and bring to steal, kill, and destroy our lives. Make a decision today to study the Word, as you have never done before. It could be a matter of life or death.
